| To open the 2007-08 season, we performed excerpts from Almost Unreal in September at The Construction Company. Participation in this concert was made possible through our January 2005 residency at the Dragon’s Egg in Connecticut. In October, we proposed Almost Unreal to the managers of Roxette and successfully gained their blessings to perform our work to their licensed recordings! In December, we collaborated with artist Svetlana Cockcockroachavich to present Happy Birthday Jesus at the Collective Unconscious in TriBeCa. In May, we were invited back to perform in Meat!, a tribute the one and only Meat Loaf! In order for the Poisonous Ladies to strengthen and grow as a company, we are asking our friends and families for donations. We are sponsored by The Field*, a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization serving the New York City performing arts community, so your contribution will be fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Also, if your employer has a matching gift program, contributions to The Field, earmarked for us, are eligible. Here’s how to make donations: write a check to “The Field” and put “Amir Levi” in the memo line. Mail it to the following address: Amir Levi; 175 E. 90th St., #A3; New York, NY 10128. As a growing company, any financial or in-kind contribution would be greatly appreciated. Whether it’s $30 to pay for 2 hours of rehearsal space, $300 to help pay for subsidized performance space, or even more to help us achieve the goal of having our own home – any contributions are most welcome and appreciated. We hope to see you at one of our performances in the near future. Thank you for your generous support. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate e-mail me at thepoisonousladies@gmail.com. * For more information about The Field you may contact them by mail: 161 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10012; phone: (212) 691-6969; fax: (212) 255-2053; e-mail: info@thefield.org; or at www.thefield.org .
